Ruurd Jellema (1963) has a broad background in both Marketing and Logistics (HES Rotterdam & Transport Management for 2,5 years in the U.S.). After having worked in management roles at multiple companies in 16 years, he became the owner of Tidag Supply Chain Solutions in 2006.
There, he is the supplier of intelligence and decisiveness when it comes to managerial questions surrounding logistics, trade, production, retail, and supply chain. Together with the client and his employer, he ensures more efficiency by redesigning and optimizing business processes, cleverly deploying the ICT, developing leadership and group dynamics, and organizing supply chain programs.
Ruurd holds extensive experience as trainer, project and interim manager, and advisor in a large number of major international companies. They vary from logistic service providers and retailers to wholesalers to manufacturing companies and the Olympic Games. He has also done projects involving reviewing, selecting, and implementing the ERP systems and the WMS systems, and about the connections between business processes and ICT. He has been employed at Walford Meadows Inc. (U.S.), Euramex Inc. (U.S.), Pride Int’l (U.S.), Memorex Telex, Emery Worldwide, and VP Logistics Supply Chain Foot Locker (EU).
Ruurd has a strong focus on continuous progress for new clients as well as on recurrent support for his older clients, such as Autodrop, Big Bazar, Blokker, King, Novio Packaging, RailPro, Rituals, Volker Wessels, Xenos, (NL), Viangro (BE), Karstadt Sports, Grohe, Tower Int’l (DE), Superquinn, Champion Sports (IE), Bata Shoes (IT), Autoliv (SE), Lenta, Magnit & X5 (RU), Solgar (USA), TPG & Carlyle (Private Equity) and the Olympic Games (London 2012)
